OCT Theater is situated to the southeast of Happy Valley Theme Park in Beijing. Covering an area of 26,000 m2 with the total height of forty meters, it costs 150 million yuan. It has ten stories in total, five underground, four up ground and one on the top. Its main structure is designed by the Design Research Institute of Chief Equipment Ministry and its interior and exterior decorations are respectively designed by Zhu Bang and the International Design Institute of China Construction Corporation. With the novel and unique architectural style, it combines vast steel-structured arc vault with glittering glass walls as its background. With light shinning upon it, it looks like a crystal palace. OCT Theater is not only an architecture feat following National Theater and Bao Li Theater, but also a brilliant pearl of the Happy Valley inlaid in the cultural soil of Beijing.

OCT Theater has a seating capacity of 1,600 people. It contains such facilities as main theater, multi-functional hall, VIP reception hall, café bar, rehearsal hall, production room, make-up room etc. Its top-rated stage facilities, including one main stage, one back stage and two side stages, can be moved horizontally, vertically and in different angles. Besides it can function as the arena for opera, symphony and other recreational programs. Its main stage covers an area of 700m2, back stage 500m2, side stages 210m2, 1,600 seats in the auditorium, which can fully meet the requirements of performing excellent operas and symphonies from both at home and abroad.

After its construction, it will be the center for Beijing’s cultural life and artistic exchanges, providing world-class operas, dances, movies and music shows. It will also be the landmark cultural architecture in Beijing.    OCT Theater, set for completion by the summer of 2007, will display an unparalleled show “The Golden Mask Dynasty”.
